Book Signings

I had the privilege of doing a book signing at Waldenbooks in the Ohio Valley Mall , St. Clairsville, Ohio. It was a busy day at the mall and I had a great time!
Here are some photos from my book signing at Karen's Craft & Quilt Connection in Barnesville, Ohio earlier this month. It is a lovely shop full of quilt samples. I will be teaching classes there in January.

Radio Interview!

Wow it was fun....and a blur! I was so excited, once Mark got on the line and we started talking it was over before I knew it. I don't think I said anything silly.....but I sure did talk a lot. The interview ran about 15 minutes and we talked a lot about being creative and the creativity of Square-agonals. It will be aired on December 29 and I will remind you later with all the details.
Till later.....

What's next?

Have a busy weekend coming up. I have the honor of being really good "friends" with Mrs. Claus and will be attending a Santa's Breakfast at our local grade school on saturday morning.

This will be followed by a secret event I can't reveal just yet.....so stay posted. I will then go over to Karen's Quilt & Craft Connection as the celebrity quilter for demonstrations and book signings. Karen's shop is in Barnesville, Ohio and they will be having their Christmas parade and other holiday events.

On Sunday I have the privilege to do a book signing at Walden's Book Store in the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Then later this week I will be a "friend" with Mrs. Claus again for storytime at the school library for the Kindergarten and first grade classes.

I will do my best to keep up with the blog, photos, and details on the secret event!

Still catching up

Well now that the family and friends have come and gone (except for my daughter who is leaving on December 19 to do missionary work in Uganda....another long story) I am still trying to play catch up for the last month.
I am posting pictures from my "Square-agonals" 9-Patch Table Runner class that was held at the "From Past To Present" Quilt shop in St. Clairsville, Ohio. We had so much fun and you can see what a great job the ladies did on their projects. The class has been so successful that it is going to be repeated again on January 24th.

I Have A Notion

While at Houston Market I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly Jackson of "I Have A Notion" blog. Not only was she a delight to talk with, but she loved my new quilt technique and book "Square-agonals; A New Angle on Quilting".

Check out her review and photos on her popular blog "I Have A Notion" http://ihaveanotion.blogspot.com/2010/11/square-agonals-new-angle-on-quilting.html

Happy Thanksgiving

Just want to thank all of you who have helped in any way to support my book. May you all have a safe and joyous holiday week.

My kids are home and all their friends are here right now and filling the house with youthful energy and laughter! I love them all!

My pies are done, as well as the three types of chex mix, sweet potatoe casserole, and mashed potato casserole. Turkeys (need to serve 25+) are soaking in the brine and ready for the morning. I might be able to relax a bit tonight.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and be thankful for what you do have!

Pine Tree Quilt Shop

Two weeks ago I spent a saturday at the Pine Tree Quilt Shop in Waynesburg, Pa doing demonstrations on "Square-agonals" and signing books. It was a fun filled day and Linda, the owner, has a way of making you feel right at home in her lovely shop. It is bright, cheery and full of lovely fabrics and samples. Linda and her staff greet you and make you feel like one of the family. Verna, our shop hop and Columbus bus driver, lives nearby and stopped in to visit. Rachel (one of my best quilt friends) came along to help. Enjoy the photos and be sure to stop in and visit Linda if you are in the area. I am scheduled to do a full day of "Square-agonals" classes on January 15 and February 12 and I am certainly looking forward to it.

I'm Back

So sorry for the delay in getting back here, went on the shop hop directly after market, then to Waynesburg at the Pine Tree Quilt Shop, then sick, now trying to recoup and regroup.
For today I am posting some pics from the fun shop hop through Amish country in Ohio. It was a delightful two day trip with the greatest quilt ladies I know (and Verna, the best driver in the world!) They let me help them pick out their fabric and spend their money! I love picking out fabric! It might be one of my favorite parts of making a quilt.
Enjoy the photos and look for more postings tomorrow.
