  2. Your Weaver block makes a wonderful secondary pattern. My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is getting up really early on Thanksgiving morning and baking homemade Pecan Pie and Apple Crisp and then putting on the Turkey. While I'm baking I usually talk to my sister who lives 250 miles away, everyone else in the house is asleep and it's one of the nicest times of the year for me!

  169. It's most important to be together. This doesn't happen very often since we live in different states. Once we're together, it's all about the food, of course!

  170. Congratulations on a really strong block.
I've never celebrated Thanksgiving, but I think the best part must be the family all getting together; something we have at New Year.

  173. I think Weavers Block is my favorite with the way it goes together into a quilt - gorgeous. Now that my parents are in their 80's, my brothers and I bring more of the food for our Thanksgiving celebration.

  174. I love the optical illusion of curves. I love the once a year meal with stuffing and gravy.

  181. A great block! I totally LOVE your square-agonal design! How did you ever come up with that??? I don't really celebrate Thanksgiving -- but I do like to sit down with my xmas card list and start writing xmas messages to friends.

  182. Hello! I am new to your blog and i live in the UK so not sure if I can enter your giveaway. Of course we don't have Thanksgiving here, but I have loved reading through everyones comments, especially the ones that describe all the yummy foods and the smells! The quilt design at the top of your blog is absolutely stunning, there is a feeling you have created of a wonderful dimensional kind of 'wave' - not sure how to describe it! Very clever, I do love this.
Well, have enjoyed scrolling through your blog this morning,
    Best wishes, Kate

  183. Just spending time with family is my favorite Thanksgiving tradition. My mom and sister have always done the Black Friday shopping thing, and my grandma always put up the Christmas tree on that day. I like just hanging out with the fam. :-) Congrats on getting your block in the book and thank you so much for the giveaway.
